In 2018 My mom was diagnosed with stage IV cancer esophageal and stomach cancer which metastasized to her lungs. She fought so hard for 2 years but eventually passed away June 28th 2020. This is the hardest month for me. It'll be 4yrs my mom has been gone on this June 28th. She was only 56. Just turned 56 on June 6th just to pass away 22 days later. That was the hardest loss for me. This has always been our song. I live in Florida and she did too her whole life but State of Florida wouldn't help her with her chemotherapy and radiation so she had to move back to New Jersey to get emergency Medicaid and get treatment. That was hard being so far away for 2 years but she was so strong she got on an airplane to visit me in FL every 6 months. 3 times. That June she was supposed to visit for the 4th time but I knew in my heart that Christmas 2019 was our last one together. 😞😔😢😭😭😭🥹 You should be here by Cole Swindell was her ringtone.

I read a lot of these comments and it brings a sadness to me. I lost my mom to cancer when I was 23. For years, I was very saddened and despised life and always questioned why things happen the way that they do. The lyrics that this gentleman has written have hit home. He brings out the positive from the negative. All of our loved ones were meant to leave for a reason and there's always a purpose of why that happens. One day, we will all be reunited. Try to stay positive for them. They will meet us on the other side when it is our time. Thank you Will Dempsey for showing us the light through the darkness.

When you gave your everything loving someone, doing everything making them positive and happy for 16 years. I realized that I was the giver and eventually ended up draining me. I had to make a choice to stay miserable or move on. Now I'm learning to be on my own with my child. You learn to look at life and people differently. See people for who and what they are. We can't ever give up. God will never put us on a path that we can't handle. As long as we know that we are not alone and that God is there to guide and protect us.

Such a beautiful song “the dance” I danced to this song by Garth Brooks at my wedding in 1990 it was my husband Joe and I first dance as husband and wife, I was so extremely lucky to have known Joe dated Joe since we both were in Middle school 7th grade, Joe help me get through losing my mother to cancer when no one else would even care to talk to me Joe would sit down listen to me give me his honest opinion and that wasn’t something most men especially growing up from boys into teenage boys and young adult men had I always knew Joe was different he was so much more mature for his age even my dad respected him like him and my dad wasn’t easy man to please, somehow Joe did from the start, my dad allowed Joe to ask for my hand in marriage our senior year in high school (1989-1990) we married September 19 1990 military wedding due to Joe being deployed for operation desert shield and desert storm, I would get my real wedding spring of 1993 with Joe, I got to enjoy 31 years of marriage before I lost Joe he had served 23 years usmc turned police and was kia November 16 2021 I miss Joe everyday no one knows how much that man turned my life around, loved me unconditionally and even in death I still feel his presence and I will always carry you with me Joe there isn’t any one else meant for me I love you always will Joe and thank you for everything you gave me did for me and the kids until we meet again thank you love you
